DESIGN BRIEF

ACA Victoria advocates for the Early Learning Sector, representing hundreds of members across the State. As one of the key State bodies under ACA National, ACA Victoria operates its own membership, engaging with members through timely marketing activities that provide relevant and up-to-date information.

The Member Guide is designed to introduce recently established Early Learning Centres to the many benefits of ACA Victoria membership, with advocacy as the primary incentive. It offers valuable support and resources that empower members to grow and thrive within the industry.

I worked closely with ACA Victoria to create a brochure design that fully supports their brand identity. By incorporating a professional aesthetic, thoughtful use of colour, typography, graphic devices, and a simple, easy-to-navigate pagination system, I ensured each design element aligned with the brand’s core values and visual style. The final brochure design I produced was a sleek 12-page A5 saddle-stitched booklet.

Images feature clipped corners, echoing the angled elements of the ACA Victoria logo. This design motif carries through to the headings and subheadings, enhancing the overall cohesiveness of the layout.

To clearly distinguish new sections, I used alternating coloured pages, even though the document was brief. Copy was kept minimal, allowing readers to digest key information with the help of engaging images and icons.

Despite some limitations in photography, particularly the need for stock imagery, ACA Victoria was fortunate to have a library of event images that added life and personality to the brochure design, effectively bringing the organisation’s work to the forefront.
